Lac du Serpent

Lac du Serpent is a lake located in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region of France, in the city of Névache. The lake is situated at an altitude of 2359 meters and offers a spectacular panorama of the surrounding mountains, including the Massif des Cerces and the Massif des Ecrins. The lake can be accessed through a hiking trail that starts from the parking area of Fontcouverte and passes by the Refuge de Ricou. The trail is approximately 8.8 kilometers long and takes around 4 hours and 30 minutes to complete. The lake is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers, and its surroundings offer a variety of flora and fauna. Visitors can also explore the nearby Lac Laramon and the Gardioles, a formation of small lakes perched on a vast plateau
