What to expect
The Palais Longchamp is a monumental complex located in a green setting in the center of Marseille. It was built in 1869 to celebrate the arrival of water in Marseille and features a water tower, two museums, and beautiful gardens. The Natural History Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts are housed in the palace, offering a wide range of exhibits, including naturalized animals, regional fauna and flora, and artworks from the 16th to 18th centuries. The palace is surrounded by an 8-hectare park, which is a popular spot for families and locals alike.
