The Musée d'Histoire de Marseille is a museum that tells the story of the city's 26 centuries of existence. The museum features an exhibition of 3,500 square meters with nearly 3,000 works, showcasing the city's history from its founding by the Greeks to the present day. Visitors can explore 13 chronological sequences that retrace the human occupation of the area from prehistory to the contemporary development of the urban space. The museum also features archaeological collections, including fragments of shipwrecks from the 6th century BC. The museum offers an interactive approach, with reconstitutions, models, and digital supports that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the different periods of the city's history. The museum is located near the Vieux-Port and the Jardin des Vestiges, which valorizes the ruins of the ancient Greek port of the city
