The Château des Baux-de-Provence is a fortified castle located in Les Baux-de-Provence, Bouches-du-Rhône, southern France. Built in the 10th century, the fortress and the small town it protects were ruled by the lords of Baux for five hundred years. The castle offers a unique experience with full-scale replicas of huge siege engines, including a couillard, bricole, ballista, and the biggest trebuchet in Europe. Visitors can explore the castle's keep, chapel, and other ruins, and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The Château des Baux also features an Escape Game, 'Le mystère d’Alix, dernière Dame des Baux,' where teams of 2 to 6 people can solve puzzles and mysteries to uncover the secrets of the castle

Activities: We explored the Château des Baux de Provence. "If you have children who are beginning to take an interest in the era of knights and the Middle Ages in general, they will love exploring this castle. Especially since a game booklet for 7-12 year olds is distributed at the entrance." We spent about 2 hours there
Highlights: The children loved the game booklet. "They will also have a game booklet offered with riddles to solve to learn while having fun." The panoramas from the top of the fortress are exceptional. We enjoyed the views of the Provence with vineyards and olive trees ✨
