Salin-de-Giraud is a village located in the commune of Arles in Bouches-du-Rhône, approximately 40 kilometers from the city center of Arles. The village was established in 1856 and is a major center of salt production. It is situated in the southeastern corner of the Camargue, on the right bank of the Rhône. The village has a unique urban planning, with two zones, each associated with a factory, and features large streets, public and private gardens, and places. The village is also known for its industrial and worker's architecture, which is a testament to the paternalistic utopias of the 19th century
