Leucate Village is a traditional village of fishermen and winegrowers with a rich historical past. The village is dominated by its castle and a vast plateau, and features a lively central square, colorful facades, and streets filled with shadows and sunlight. Leucate is composed of 5 'villages' or 'entités': Leucate Village, Port Leucate, Leucate Plage, La Franqui, and the Villages Naturistes. The village hosts various events, including the Mondial du Vent, a major event for gliding sports, and Sol y Fiesta, a festival with music, street performances, and artists.
