Étang de Thau

The Étang de Thau is a large lagoon located in the Occitanie region of France. It is the largest and deepest of the étangs in the region, with an average depth of 4.5 meters and a maximum depth of 30 meters. The lagoon is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including over 400 species of plants and animals, such as oysters, mussels, and fish. The lagoon is also an important site for shellfish farming, with many oyster and mussel farms located along its shores.
