Aigues-Mortes, a historic town in the Occitanie region of France, is a must-visit destination. The town is surrounded by well-preserved 1.6km long city walls, which offer great views of the salt marshes and the Camargue. Visitors can take a tour of the walls, visit the majestic Tour Constance where King Louis IX lived, and explore the town's many artist studios and craft workshops. The town is also known for its salt marshes, which cover an area equivalent to around 10,000 rugby pitches, and can be visited on a tourist train, by bike, or on foot. The Camargue region is home to a vast array of wildlife, including bulls and horses, and visitors can explore the unique landscapes and ecosystems of the area. The town also offers a range of activities, including wine tastings, visits to 'manades' (bull and horse ranches), and traditional Camargue bull fights

Activities: We took a boat trip on a barge called 'Isle de Stel' starting just in front of the fortified city. We saw the harbor, the Tour de Constance, the Port de Plaisance, the gates of the Vidourle, the Carbonnière tower, the abbey of Psalmodi and many more
Highlights: It was a relaxing experience and a great way to see the beautiful Camargue landscapes. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and seeing the horses and bulls. Our kids loved seeing the work of the gardians with the bulls ✨
