Plage de la Concurrence

The Plage de la Concurrence is a sandy beach located in the heart of La Rochelle, near the old port and the Parc Charruyer. It offers a unique view of the sailboats entering and leaving the old port, as well as the Phare Richelieu in the distance. The beach is equipped with a wooden platform that facilitates access to the water for people with reduced mobility, and it also has a 'Tiralo' and 'Hippocampe' chair to help people with disabilities access the water. The beach is supervised during the summer months and has a snack bar open during the season. It's an ideal spot for a family break, a spontaneous swim, or a playtime with children after visiting the nearby park
