Chasseneuil-du-Poitou is a commune in western France, located in the Vienne department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The town is home to the Parc du Futuroscope, a popular theme park, and the Technopole du Futuroscope, a technology park that hosts over 200 high-tech businesses and educates around 2,000 students. The commune has a rich history, with the town being a royal residence of the Merovingian and Carolingian dynasties in France. Chasseneuil-du-Poitou is also twinned with the Irish town of Passage West. The town has a population of around 4,776 inhabitants and is situated about 7 km north of the center of Poitiers
