The Botanical Gardens of Bordeaux are a wonderful place to enjoy a stroll and reconnect with nature. The gardens have a rich history, with the first botanical garden in Bordeaux dating back to 1629. Today, there are two botanical gardens in the city: the Jardin botanique de Bordeaux, located in the Jardin public, and the Jardin botanique de la Bastide, located on the right bank of the Garonne River. The Jardin botanique de Bordeaux features a systematic collection of over 3,000 plant species, including indigenous and exotic plants, as well as a seed collection and herbarium. The Jardin botanique de la Bastide has six different sections, including a water garden, an arboretum, and a field with 44 plots. The gardens offer a peaceful escape from the city and a chance to learn about the fascinating world of plants. They are a great place to visit with family and friends, with plenty of opportunities for relaxation and discovery
