What to expect

Essay is a commune in the Orne department in north-western France. The town is mainly known for its motorsports tracks, and hosted a round of the 2011 European Rallycross Championship. The commune has two buildings/areas listed as a Monument historique: the Domaine de Beaufossé, an 18th-century house and estate, and the Chapel of the Dukes of Alençon, a 12th-century chapel. Essay is also home to the Circuit des Ducs, a racing circuit that was built in 1975 and has been used to stage a round of the French rallycross championship and Fol'Car races
