The Parc de Clères is a zoo and botanical garden located in the heart of the Clérette Valley in Normandy, France. The park is home to over 1,400 animals, including birds, antelopes, and red pandas, with many of them roaming freely. The park also features several remarkable buildings, including a Renaissance chateau, a 16th-century manor house, and ruins of a medieval castle. The garden, designed by English landscape architect Henry Avray-Tipping, is planted with rare species of plants and has been labeled as a 'Jardin remarquable' in 2023. The park offers a unique experience for visitors, combining patrimoine, acclimatation, and enrichment of its botanical collections. It is a great place for families to visit and learn about the importance of protecting biodiversity

Activities: We went to the Parc de Clères, a "fabuleux parc animalier et botanique, un écrin de verdure de 13 hectares qui accueille plus de 1500 animaux en semi-liberté" (a fabulous animal and botanical park, a green setting of 13 hectares that houses more than 1500 animals in semi-liberty). We arrived at 4 p.m. and were lucky enough to attend the animals' snack around the lake
Highlights: We had a great afternoon, enjoying the shade of the park's magnificent trees and our daughter loved it! We saw ducks, pink flamingos, pelicans, gibbons and tamarins. We will definitely go back, we have the annual pass! ✨
