The Jardin des Plantes de Nantes is a 7-hectare botanical garden in the city center, featuring over 10,000 species, 800 m² of greenhouses, and more than 50,000 flowers planted each season. The garden has a rich history, dating back to 1688, and has undergone several transformations over the years. Today, it is one of the four major botanical gardens in France, with a collection of unique plants, including camellias, magnolias, and sequoias. The garden also features ponds, waterways, and paths, as well as an artificial 'mountain' and fine collection of statues, pavilions, fountains, and cascades. Visitors can explore the garden's palm house and greenhouses, which contain an exceptional collection of epiphytes, including orchids. The garden is accessible to people with reduced mobility and has amenities such as toilets, picnic areas, and a playground for children
