The Galerie des Machines de l'Ile is an exhibition and animation space located in Nantes, France. It is situated on the Île de Nantes, in the parc des Chantiers, at the site of former shipyards that were decommissioned in 1987. The Machines de l'île are at the crossroads of the 'invented worlds' of Jules Verne, the mechanical universe of Leonardo da Vinci, and the industrial history of Nantes. The site features several machines, including the Grand Éléphant, a branch prototype of the Arbre aux Hérons, the Carrousel des mondes marins, and a carousel for children called the manège d'Andréa. The number of machines is intended to increase as new creations are added
