What to expect

The Place Charles de Gaulle, also known as the Place de l'Étoile, is a large road junction in Paris, France. It is the meeting point of twelve straight avenues, including the famous Champs-Élysées. The place is home to the Arc de Triomphe, which stands at its center and is accessible via a pedestrian underpass. The twelve avenues radiating from the place form a star shape, giving it its historic name. The place has a diameter of 241 meters and is the second largest square in Paris. It was renamed in 1970 after the death of President Charles de Gaulle, but is still often referred to by its original name
