The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Montmartre, commonly known as Sacré-Cœur Basilica, is a Catholic church and minor basilica in Paris dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is located at the summit of the butte of Montmartre and offers a spectacular view of the city. The basilica was built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and features a unique blend of Neo-Byzantine and Romanesque architectural styles. Visitors can climb to the top of the dome for a panoramic view of Paris and explore the beautiful mosaics and chapels inside the basilica. The site is also traditionally associated with the martyrdom of Saint Denis, the patron saint of Paris. Perpetual adoration of the Holy Eucharist has been maintained at the basilica since 1885
