What to expect
The Parc du Marquenterre is a unique place with a rich history, located in the heart of the Baie de Somme Nature Reserve in France. It is a 200-hectare protected area of marshes, dunes, and reed beds, situated between land and sea, where birds stop to rest and refuel during their migration. The park is a renowned ornithological sanctuary in Europe, managed by the Syndicat Mixte Baie de Somme-Grand Littoral Picard. The park offers a 6 km trail with 13 observatories, where visitors can observe over 300 species of birds, including migratory birds, waterfowl, and birds of prey. The park also offers guided tours, themed seminars, and photography workshops, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and birdwatchers. The park is suitable for families, with activities such as guided tours and bird-watching sessions available for children
