The railway allows passengers to travel through the Somme Bay area, passing by the towns of Le Crotoy, Cayeux-sur-Mer, Noyelles-sur-Mer, and Saint-Valery-sur-Somme. The journey provides a unique opportunity to observe the surrounding landscape, including the bay, marshes, and wildlife such as swans, herons, and ducks. The railway also offers the possibility to embark bicycles on board and return via cycling paths. Additionally, there are options for persons with reduced mobility, and it is possible to reserve a dinner on board on certain evenings. The railway is managed by a non-profit organization and is a major player in tourism development in the Picardy coast
