The Cap Gris-Nez is a cape located in Audinghen, France, and is one of the closest points to England, with a distance of only 30.3 km. It is a remarkable site classified as a zone of ecological, faunistic, and floristic interest, and is part of the Grand Site des Deux Caps, labeled as a 'Grand Site de France' since 2011. The cape is a 45-meter high cliff situated on the territory of the commune of Audinghen, between the communes of Wissant and Audresselles, in the heart of the Côte d'Opale. The site conserves the remnants of wars from 14-18 and the Second World War, and features a phare, or lighthouse, that marks the narrowest point of the Pas de Calais, a strategic location for international maritime transport. The cape offers a beautiful view of the English coast and the cap Blanc-Nez on a clear day
