Rue du Maroquin

Street Strasbourg, Grand Est, France

What to expect

Rue du Maroquin, located in the heart of Strasbourg, France, is a notable thoroughfare that extends from Place du Marché-aux-Cochons-de-Lait to Place de la Cathédrale. The street has been a pedestrian zone since 1973 and is named after the numerous shoemakers who were established there in the past. The street features old buildings on its western side, while the eastern side was largely razed in the late 1850s to make way for the Imperial School of the Military Health Service of Strasbourg. Today, the street is home to the Musée de l'Œuvre Notre-Dame and its small medieval garden
