The Passerelles des anciennes glacières is a pedestrian bridge located in Strasbourg, in the historic and tourist district of Petite France. It spans the Ill canal, an arm of the Rhine, and connects the former towpath along the banks of the Ill to the Place Benjamin-Zix, along the rear facades of the rue des Dentelles, which overlook the Ill navigation canal. The bridge is an important axis of circulation for residents of the neighborhood and tourists. The former metal bridge, which was 31 meters long, dated back to the end of the 19th century and was no longer safe for pedestrians. It was closed in 2014 and dismantled two years later. The new bridge was inaugurated on July 7, 2018. The metal structure measures 33 meters long and weighs 43 tons
