What to expect

The Lac de Gérardmer is a glacial lake located in the Vosges mountain range at an elevation of 660m. It is the largest natural lake in the Vosges, with a surface area of 1.16 km², a maximum length of 2.2 km, and a maximum depth of 38.4m. The lake is surrounded by a 6km pedestrian path and offers various water activities, including swimming, with a supervised beach area during the summer months. Only boats without motors or with electric motors are allowed on the lake. The lake's environment is also notable for its unique formation, having been created by glacial activity during the last ice age

Activities: We went to Gérardmer Lake, the largest natural lake in the Vosges. We took electric boats on the lake, with my 'barbu' at the helm. Afterward, we walked around the lake. There are benches and games for the children

Highlights: My daughter loved the boat ride. The lake is beautiful, surrounded by mountains and forests. The views were splendid. We enjoyed the boat ride and the walk, with the nice views ✨
