The Val sans Retour, also known as the Valley of No Return or Valley Without Return, is a mythical site from Arthurian legend located in the Paimpont forest in Brittany, France. The legend attached to it is primarily recounted in the Lancelot-Grail, where Morgan le Fay creates the Val sans retour to imprison knights who are unfaithful to their ladies. The physical site has become a popular tourist destination, featuring points of interest such as the Golden Tree, the Fairy Mirror, Viviane's house, and Merlin's seat. The valley is home to numerous species of flora and fauna and is protected as a natural zone of ecological interest, fauna, and flora, as well as a Natura 2000 site. Visitors can explore the valley and its many wonders, including the Rocher des Faux-Amants, a rock formation said to be the remains of two lovers turned to stone by Morgan le Fay
