What to expect

The Place du Centre is a large square in the town of Guingamp, located in the Brittany region of France. The square is surrounded by various styles of houses, including stone and half-timbered buildings, and features a 'plan d'eau' type water feature with small fountains and several cafes. At the top of the square stands an impressive fountain, called the Fontaine de la Plomée, which was constructed in the 15th century and was the principal water source for the centre of Guingamp until the 20th century. The square is also close to other historic monuments, including the basilica Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours and the Chateau de Pierre II. Guingamp is a 'Little Town of Character' with a diverse heritage, featuring a range of architectural styles, including medieval, Renaissance, and classical buildings. The town has a lively atmosphere, with many shops, cafes, and cultural events, making it a pleasant place to visit
