The Château de Pierre II, also known as Guingamp Castle, is a medieval fortress located in the town of Guingamp, in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany, France. The castle has a rich history dating back to the 11th century and has undergone several transformations over the centuries. It was initially a motte castle, then a polygonal enclosure, and finally a square artillery fortress with four circular corner towers. The castle was dismantled in 1626 and later used as a school. Today, the remains of the castle are freely accessible and offer a glimpse into the town's history. The castle is situated on a height, dominating the valley of the Trieux river, and offers a magnificent view over the river.
