The Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval is a natural cirque located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France, in the city of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval. It gets its name from the shape of its cliffs, which resemble a horseshoe. The cirque is an impressive site, with cliffs reaching up to 2,000 meters in height and a multitude of waterfalls, the number of which varies depending on the season. It is the largest Alpine mountain cirque, dominated by the Corne du Chamois and stretching over 4 to 5 km. In June, there are more than thirty waterfalls gushing down the cliffs. The site is easily accessible and is the most visited and famous site of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval
