The Amphithéâtre romain de Fourvière is a Roman theatre located in Lyon, France. It was built on the hill of Fourvière and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site protecting the historic center of Lyon. The theatre was built in two steps, with the first construction around 15 BC and the final construction at the beginning of the 2nd century. It has a diameter of 108 m and could accommodate 10,000 people. Today, the theatre is primarily a tourist site and is still used as a cultural venue, hosting events such as the Nuits de Fourvière festival. The theatre is a great place to visit with family and friends, offering a glimpse into the history and culture of ancient Rome
