The Fresque des Lyonnais is a large mural painting that represents 2000 years of Lyon's history with 25 historical and 6 contemporary figures from the city. The mural is 800 square meters and is located on a building in the 1st arrondissement of Lyon. It was created by the Cité de la Création artist cooperative in 1994-1995. The fresque features a range of notable Lyonnais, including Emperor Claudius, Pierre Puvis de Chavanne, Joseph-Marie Jacquard, and Paul Bocuse, among others. The mural is a popular tourist attraction and a great place to learn about the history and culture of Lyon
