Le Poët-Laval is a rural commune in the Drôme department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France. It is a member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France (The Most Beautiful Villages of France) Association. The village is situated in the valley of the Jabron, between the Vercors and Baronnies massifs. The commune has a total area of 31.22 km² and a population of 958 as of 2022. The village has a number of amenities, including a town hall, school, and community center. Le Poët-Laval is also home to a number of historic buildings, including a chateau and a Romanesque chapel. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with opportunities for walking and outdoor activities
