What to expect

Lac de Lessy is a lake located in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region of France, in the city of Le Grand-Bornand. The lake is nestled in a valley at the foot of the Jallouvre, the Buclon, and Aiguille Verte. It offers panoramic views from Pteret over the Arve valley and the Geneva basin, as well as views of the Col de la Forclaz and the Col de la Buffaz. The lake is surrounded by mountains and offers a scenic hiking trail that takes you through the forest and over rocks. The trail is considered average in difficulty and takes around 2 hours to complete. Herding dogs are present in the vicinity of the lake from July to September, and visitors are advised to approach them with caution. Swimming is forbidden in the lake
