The Lac d'Arvouin is a charming glacial lake located in the Cornettes de Bise Natura 2000 reserve in La Chapelle-d'Abondance. It is situated at an altitude of 1663 meters and has a surface area of 1 hectare 63, with a maximum depth of 6 meters. The lake is easily accessible on foot and offers a beautiful panorama of the surrounding mountains, including the Mont de Grange and the Dents du Midi. The area is also home to a variety of wildlife, including vaches Abondance, chèvres, and bouquetins. Fishing is permitted with an A.A.P.P.M.A. Chablais/Genevois fishing permit. The lake is surrounded by mountain pastures, where agriculture is very present, and is a great place to visit with family and friends
