Gresse-en-Vercors is a commune in the Isère department in southeastern France, situated in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The village is located at an altitude of 1,200 meters and is the highest village in the Vercors. It is dominated by the Grand Veymont, a summit that culminates at 2,341 meters. The commune is part of the Parc naturel régional du Vercors and offers a privileged situation with a view of the mountain. The village has a station for winter sports and is surrounded by mountains, including the Mont Aiguille. The commune has a population of 356 inhabitants and covers an area of 81 km2
