What to expect
Argentière is a village located at the foot of the Argentière glacier and the iconic Aiguille Verte peak. It is a must-visit destination for winter sports fans from around the world, with the Les Grands Montets ski area offering 29 km of slopes and 7 lifts. The village has a rich history and culture, with many legendary mountain guides hailing from here. Visitors can explore the baroque-style church, hike to Lac Blanc for stunning views of Mont Blanc, or walk to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc via the Petit Balcon Sud. The village is also home to traditional mountain architecture, including old farmsteads and a chapel from the 19th century

Our week of skiing in the Chamonix valley
Activities: We skied in the Argentière ski resort, which is a bit more challenging than Vallorcine. We enjoyed the beautiful red runs and the stunning view from the top of the Bochard cable car
Highlights: We enjoyed the variety of slopes and the incredible view from the summit. We also enjoyed the charming village atmosphere and the delicious pastries at Alp’pain ✨
