Kauppi Sports Park is a versatile venue for various kinds of sports, surrounded by lush green forests. The park includes facilities for football, Finnish baseball, tennis, cross-country skiing and running, archery, and greyhound racing. There are jogging tracks in the surrounding forests, and the public Kaupinoja sauna and beach are just across the street. In winter, the exercise routes become skiing tracks, and the baseball stadium serves as a ski stadium. The area also features the Niihama nature trail, which takes visitors around Lake Niihamajärvi and Soukonvuori hill. The trail has ten checkpoints and features fresh and dry heath forest, birch groves, and herb-rich forests

Activities: We enjoyed Nordic walking in the nearby forest at Kauppi Sports Park, following a candlelit path through a snow-fringed pine forest. The park also has a wooden hut where we learned to make campfire pancakes
Highlights: Angus loved running ahead with our guide Minna, asking her lots of questions about snow and wolves, while I appreciated the peaceful atmosphere of the forest and the opportunity to enjoy a hot glögg ✨
