What to expect

Samiland is an exhibition that explores the history and culture of the Sami people, the indigenous people of the North. The indoor exhibition covers 500 m2 and the outdoor exhibition 10,000 m2, presenting the rich history and modern era of the Sami people through images, storytelling, and participating activities. Visitors can learn about the differences between the Skolt Sami and the Mountain Sami, traditional occupations, and ancient mythical characters of the Sami people. The outdoor exhibition teaches about traditional Sami buildings and reindeer herding. Samiland also offers a reindeer paddock where visitors can see and feed reindeer. The exhibition is suitable for families and provides a comprehensive overview of the Sami people's history and culture
