The University of Tartu Botanical Garden is a botanical garden in Tartu, Estonia, belonging to the University of Tartu. It has been in operation for over 220 years and features more than 10,000 species and varieties of plants, including rare protected plants and decorative plants. The garden is designed by world-renowned botanists, professors Ledebour and Bunge, and has a playground for children. The garden's greenhouses have different climates, including a palm house, a hot and humid tropical house, a near-tropical house, and a desert plant section, with exciting and exotic plants from almost every continent. Visitors can also find turtles, fish, parrots, and giant grasshoppers in the garden. The open-air collections are divided into eleven different gardens and are free to enjoy for all passers-by and walkers
