The Church of La Compañía de Jesús is a Catholic clerical complex located in the Historic Center of Quito, Ecuador. The church is considered one of the finest examples of Spanish Baroque architecture in South America and features a façade entirely carved in volcanic stone. The interior is decorated with gold leaf, gilded plaster, and wooden carvings, and includes 44 paintings and 56 sculptures by artists of the Quito School. The church also features symbols of the Sun and Ecuadorian plants, showcasing the syncretism of the Inca civilization and the Catholic faith. Visitors can admire the church's ornate decorations, including the '16 Prophets' by Nicolás Javier de Goríbar and sculptures of the Holy Trinity by Bernardo de Legarda
