The Casa del Alabado Museum of Pre-Columbian Art is a unique museum located in a colonial house built in the 17th century. The museum houses a collection of over 5,000 archaeological pieces, 500 of which are on permanent display. The display is organized thematically, not chronologically, and treats objects as works of art rather than archaeological remnants. The museum has eight exhibit rooms, one room for temporary exhibits, two rooms for workshops, a museum shop, and two courtyards. The museum offers a thematic tour and a video game that promotes the use of digital technologies in the dissemination of historical and archaeological research. The museum also has a program called 'Alabado for children' which is a journey through the world of the past, where pieces from the museum tell their stories
