Laguna Cuicocha, also known as the 'Laguna de los Dioses', is a majestic lake located at an altitude of 3,068 meters above sea level. It is formed by an ancient crater at the foot of the Cotacachi Volcano and features two islands, Teodoro Wolf and José María Yeroví, which are divided by the 'Canal de los Ensueños'. The lake is considered sacred and is the site of shamanic purification rituals. Visitors can enjoy hiking around the lake, taking in the stunning views, and observing the local flora and fauna, including orchids, bromeliads, and a variety of bird species. The lake is also home to several miradores, or lookout points, which offer panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, visitors can take a boat tour or rent kayaks to explore the lake
