Cerro Las Tijeretas, located in San Cristóbal Island, Galápagos, Ecuador, is a popular tourist destination known for its stunning panoramic views and diverse wildlife. The site is named after the frigate birds, also known as 'tijeretas', that inhabit the area. Visitors can hike to the top of the hill, which offers breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding landscape. The area is also ideal for snorkeling, swimming, and observing the unique flora and fauna of the Galápagos. The hike to Cerro Tijeretas is approximately 3.5 miles long and takes around 2 hours to complete. It is recommended to combine the hike with a visit to the nearby Playa Man beach and to bring water, sunscreen, and a hat to protect against the sun. The site is also home to a statue of Charles Darwin and an American-made cannon from the Second World War and offers a panoramic view of the north coast of the island, including Kicker Rock, Cerro Mundo, and Cerro Tijeretas
