Monkeyland Punta Cana

Zoo Punta Cana, La Altagracia, Dominican Republic

What to expect

Monkeyland is a 5-acre park located in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, where visitors can interact with friendly squirrel monkeys. The park offers a guided tour that allows guests to get up close and personal with the monkeys, who are accustomed to human contact and will often sit on shoulders and eat from hands. The tour also includes a visit to a typical Dominican house, where visitors can learn about the local culture and way of living, and a botanical garden, where they can learn about native plants and flowers. The monkeys are well-cared for by a Canadian couple with 35 years of experience working with animals. The park is suitable for families, but certain restrictions apply, such as children must be accompanied by an adult, and people with heart conditions, disabilities, or mobility problems cannot participate. Pregnant women are also not allowed to take part in the tour

Monkeyland Punta Cana Tour Review: Squirrel Monkey Experience

Monkeyland Punta Cana Tour Review: Squirrel Monkey Experience
This family's experience:

Activities: We took a guided tour of the Monkeyland Punta Cana, where we got to interact with squirrel monkeys in close proximity. We were given a bowl of fruit, nuts, and seeds to feed the monkeys, and they jumped all over us, on our heads, shoulders, and arms

Highlights: The kids were squealing with delight and loving every second of it. Our eldest daughter was initially apprehensive but quickly changed her mind and asked if we could go again! ✨
