The Danish Railway Museum is a great place for families to visit, with a large collection of locomotives and railway carriages on display. The museum features 50 locomotives and railway carriages on 20 railtracks from all periods of Danish rail history, plus some original buildings of Danish railways. Visitors can get up close and personal with the large locomotives and beautiful old carriages, and let their imagination soar and play engine driver in the cabs of the impressive steam locomotives. The museum also offers a mini train ride, a locomotive master bus's workshop, and a children's railway station with a ticket office, control tower, and space to play. Additionally, visitors can take a trip on a vintage train on selected days throughout the year. The museum is certified as a Green Attraction, prioritizing sustainability and environmental responsibility

Activities: We visited the railway museum in Odense. The explanatory panels, telling the history of each machine presented, were fascinating. We saw a steam train dating from 1887 and a snowplow from 1869. We also saw a double-decker train from 1868-1900
Highlights: We really enjoyed our visit! The museum is very complete. Eric and I had to duck down to walk in the upper floor of the double-decker train. I was thinking about the Magicobus of Harry Potter! ✨
