Rokytnice nad Rokytnou is a market town in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic, with a population of around 800 inhabitants. The town is located about 8 kilometers southwest of Třebíč and 27 kilometers southeast of Jihlava, in the Jevišovice Uplands. The highest point in the town is 587 meters above sea level, and the upper course of the Rokytná River flows through it. The town has a Romanesque church, the Church of Saint John the Baptist, which was rebuilt into its present Baroque form in 1750. Rokytnice nad Rokytnou was first mentioned in 1190 and was promoted to a market town in 1880
