Rokytnice nad Rokytnou is a market town in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic, located about 8 kilometers southwest of Třebíč and 27 kilometers southeast of Jihlava. The town has a population of around 800 inhabitants and is situated in the Jevišovice Uplands. The main landmark is the Church of Saint John the Baptist, which has a Romanesque core and was rebuilt into its present Baroque form in 1750. The town is also home to the Rokytná River, which flows through the market town. Rokytnice nad Rokytnou was first mentioned in 1190 and was promoted to a market town in 1880
