What to expect

Prášilské jezero is a glacial lake located in the Šumava region, surrounded by pine forests. The lake is approximately 3.72 ha in size, 280 meters long, and 180 meters wide. It is situated at an altitude of 1079 meters above sea level. The area offers two well-marked hiking routes, a longer 5 km path and a shorter 3.5 km path, suitable for pedestrians, bicycles, and strollers. The terrain is mostly solid, but the last hundred meters to the lake can be rocky and challenging for cyclists. The lake is a perfect spot for families, with several benches for relaxation and snacks. The area is rich in wildlife, including ducks, and offers a peaceful atmosphere with minimal traffic. The lake is also suitable for swimming and diving on a beautiful day
