Viničné Šumice is a municipality and village in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic, located about 12 kilometers east of Brno. The village has a long history, with the first written mention dating back to 1350. It is known for its vineyards and is the northernmost wine municipality in Moravia. The village has a population of around 1,400 inhabitants and features a stone cross from the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as a belfry. The village is situated on the border between the Vyškov Gate and Drahany Highlands, with the highest point being 387 meters above sea level
