What to expect

Hrad Veveří is a castle located in the Czech Republic, specifically in the Jihomoravský kraj region, near the city of Brno. The castle has a rich history dating back to the 13th century and has undergone several transformations over the years. It was originally a small hunting castle, but was later expanded and fortified, serving as a place of royal supervision over the settlement of territories upstream of the river Svratka. The castle was also used as a residence by several notable figures, including Margrave John Henry, the younger brother of Emperor Charles IV. Today, the castle is one of the largest and oldest castle grounds in the Czech Republic and is open to the public
