Palackého vrch

Hill Brno, Jihomoravský kraj, Czech Republic

What to expect

Palackého vrch is a hill in Brno, Czech Republic, with an elevation of 339 meters above sea level. It is located on the border of the city districts of Komín, Žabovřesky, and Královo Pole. The hill is covered with a mixed forest of coniferous and deciduous trees, and there are also garden colonies, cottages, and waterworks facilities on its slopes. The view from the top of the hill is limited due to the surrounding vegetation. A monument to František Palacký, a Czech historian and politician, is located at the top of the hill. The hill was previously known as Kozí vrch, but was renamed in 1898 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Palacký's birth
