Terčino údolí

National park Nové Hrady, Jihočeský kraj, Czech Republic

What to expect

Terčino údolí, also known as Tereziino údolí, is a romantic valley located near the town of Nové Hrady in the Czech Republic. The valley was founded in the 18th century by Count Buquoy and his wife Terezie as a natural park with ornamental trees and shrubs. Today, visitors can walk along the valley's paths, cross wooden bridges, and admire the 500-year-old oak tree, the entrance gate, and the renovated Empire-style spa building 'Václavovy lázně'. The valley also features an artificial waterfall, which is one of the most photographed spots in the area. The park is open to the public and offers a peaceful retreat for those looking to connect with nature. The valley is suitable for families and offers a range of activities, including walking and hiking. The area is also home to several historic buildings, including the ruins of the 'Modrý dům' and the 'Švýcarský chata', which now serves as a scout base
